The NorthEast Rail Car Association has been providing
quality motorcar excursions in the North East since 1998.
NorthEast Rail Car Assocaition or NERCA has an open membership.
Anyone participating in our NARCOA insured excursions is carried as a
member for the next two calendar years. We have no dues. and
therefore no longer publish a newsletter. All excursion
information is announced and continuously updates on this site.
We will also announce these excursion on both the NARCOA website and the Railspeeders website. Please contact this website for
updated information.
NorthEast Rail Car Association Schedule NERCA 22008 Tentative Schedule - The following is the tentative schedule for NERCA for 2008May 23 - May 29 - VT Rail and Maine. Montreal & Atlantic (VT,QC) will be our host for an excursion from White River Junction to Newport, VT, Sherbrooke, QC and to Jackman, ME. Six days running and five overnight stays. Six border crossings, Passports not required. DETAILS TO FOLLOW May 31 - Jun 1 - Annual Hobo Railroad excursion (NH) This is a non-NARCOA event sponsored by the Hobo Railroad. DETAIL TO FOLLOW July 11-13 - Delaware & Ulster Railroad Our annual trip to Arkville will be broken into two sections. One group for PUTT-PUTTS and one group for motorcars that are not so historic and fun to operate. This is the annual trip were we go up the mountain and then back down the mountain. July 26 - 27 - Upper Hudson Railroad (NY) We have not done this in six years but our applications are in for this 'in the woods' run north of Albany Lunch stop Saturday will be at a dude ranch. If you were with us before, we went to the mine but this year will be going almost south to Saratoga Springs. Aug 16 - 17 Finger Lakes Railroad (NY) Our annual excursion on the Finger Lakes RR will include a single seton for the weekend, saturday barbeque, night run and brown bag on Sunday, Sunday will also include a new branch recently purchased by the Finger Lakes Railroad Sept 8 Pioneer Valley (MA) Sept 9 Valley Railroad (CT) Sept 22- 27 NARCOA Board of Directors - Annual Meeting, Chicago, IL 4 -5 MAINE MYSTERY RIDE Oct 4 - 5 MAINE MYSTERY RIDE
